Feedo Needo is a project of UKCAB, a registered charity.
Feedo Needo is distributing food in Birmingham City Centre to homeless people. We are serving approximately 100 meals every Friday, we consider to take all safety measure i.e. food hygiene etc. Considering current weather situation we have arranged shoulder bags for the food and this will help them to contain & carry the food easily. they can reuse those bags to store their food. Our charities aims are not only to help the homeless but also people who are struggling financially, house-bound and are deprived of appropriate care. “Few weeks back we had very heart touching experience, a lady from Derby DB11 …… who had cancer and was struggling with food due her financial and medical condition, her deteriorating health, she asked for food, we ordered food online and delivered it to her home”.
We always welcome volunteers who are so passionate to help the community and help the needy. ‘’Volunteers do not necessarily have the time they just have the heart’’.
Stats showing “Birmingham homeless total hits 12,000 - making city one of worst hotspots in UK” BY JESSICA GREEN (BIRMINGHAM LIVE) 12:22, 8 NOV 2017 UPDATED14:36, 8 NOV 2017
Surveys have found out that 2/3 of homeless people have been insulted on the streets. The streets are a dangerous place to be, especially this winter as so many homeless people have been struggling for food and shelter.
We together show our love and care to our community by helping each other as volunteers or make a difference by providing reasonable shelter to these homeless.
‘’Love is not patronizing and charity isn’t about pity, it is about love. Charity and love are the same. With charity and love, so don’t just give money but reach out your hand instead’’. Mother Teresa
